FEES

  1. All fees should be paid in advance by the 15th of every month. Failing to do so is liable for a fine.
  2. Fees for April and May must be paid in April before the final examination.
  3. No pupil will be allowed for the unit test unless his/her dues, up to that month are paid.
  4. Any parent failing to give a written explanation for the delay in paying the fees, renders the child liable to be refused admission to class and subsequently to the examination.

DUE DATE FOR PAYMENT OF FEES
The fees should be paid from 1st to 15th of every month to avoid late payment charges.

UNIFORM

  1. Pupils must be in school uniform which consists of grey Binny cloth half pants, white shirt with half sleeves and maroon tie for boys and grey pinafore white blouse and maroon tie for girls. Maroon socks and black shoes for all.
  2. Boys should get their hair cut every month else they are liable for fine.
  3. Girls with long hair will have their hair plaited and tied with a white ribbon. No fancy haircuts are allowed for girls with short hair.
  4. Wearing of jewelry is not allowed. However simple and small earrings may be worn at the wearer’s risk.
  5. Girls must wear grey tights.

DISCIPLINE
(Vide rule 56 Revised Grant-in-aid Code)

  1. Regular and implicit obedience are expected in the school.
  2. Politeness and courtesy of speech and conduct as well as cleanliness of dress and person are important.
  3. Pupils are made to realize that they are responsible to the school Authorities not only for their conduct in their school but also the general behavior outside. Any objectionable conduct correctly reported or observed in the school on the part of the pupils shall make them liable to disciplinary action.
  4. A pupil who fails consecutively twice in the same standard will be asked to leave the school.
  5. Parents or guardians are given to understand that they cannot dictate to the management and the management has the right to say on what conditions they will admit or retain pupils in their schools, provided such conditions are conformity with the provisions in the grant-in-aid code and the instructions issued by the appropriate authority from time to time.
  6. Pupils shall not take part in any political activities.
  7. Any pupil who is persistently insubordinate or is repeatedly or willfully mischievous or is guilty of malpractice in connection with examination or has committed an act of serious undisciplined and or misbehavior, or who, in the opinion of the Head of the school has unwholesome influence on his/her fellow pupils shall be struck off the rolls. The removal may be permanent or temporary according to the seriousness of the offence.
GENERAL RULES OF DISCIPLINE
  1. All the students are expected to speak in English within the school premises. Failing to do so, will be liable for punishment.
  2. Personal cleanliness in one’s self is of utmost importance. Uniform should be neat, clean and ironed; well-polished shoes, proper tie, well cut hair and fingernails neatly pared. Shabby and untidy long hair or dirty shoes shall surely receive appropriate punishment.
  3. When the students are moving along corridors or up and down the stairs as when changing classes they must walk in silence and the rule is ‘KEEP LEFT ‘.
  4. No books, newspapers and periodicals may be brought into school premises without the principal’s sanction or teacher’s permission.
  5. Celebration of any such days like Holi, friendship day or Valentine’s Day is strictly prohibited. If any student is found to do so, he/she will have to face severe punishments.
  6. Any pupil found with a radio, video games or any musical instrument will be dismissed from school.
  7. The school does not accept responsibility for the loss of books, pens, money and so on. It is not advisable for pupils to have money or other valuable articles with them.
  8. Any damage or disfigurement done in or about the school premises or to the school property must be compensated for by the parents of the child responsible for it. The decision of the principal regarding the amount to be paid is final.
  9. Every pupil should take pride in keeping the school, school premises and classroom clean. The pupils should not litter in the school compound, classroom with papers and tiffin leftovers.
  10. No fines or any collections of amounts for any purpose should be done without the prior permission of principal or concerned class teacher.
  11. As soon as the prayer bell rings, all the pupils must briskly move to their classroom and maintain SILENCE for the prayers with respect and devotion.
  12. Pupils must not fail to stand up and wish the teacher or give due respect whenever he/she enters class or is seen anywhere else.
  13. Never be rude, selfish, or bossy towards others.
  14. Always be gentle, kind, courteous and polite to others.
  15. Be willing to accept any work assigned and participate actively in every school functions.
RULES FOR ATTENDANCE-LEAVE OF ABSENCE
  1. If a pupil is likely to be absent through illness for a long period, or for any other reason, intimation should be given to the class teacher within three days. If a pupil is suffering from any infectious disease, the child should not be sent to school, till he/she has completely recovered.
  2. A pupil must produce a leave note for one day absence, the immediate next day and hand-over to the class-teacher. Leave note should be written in ink on the appropriate page in the calendar and get the class teacher’s signature.
  3. In case of long term absence, leave note should be produced as per the printed format in the calendar, and handed over immediately to the class teacher after the pupil resumes.
  4. For S.S.C STUDENTS, of standard 10, they should make a special note that their attendance has to be more than 75% in both academic terms. Failing which, their S.S.C forms may be withdrawn and the student may not be allowed to appear for S.S.C examination.
  5. S.C students must strictly avoid absenteeism in school. Parents must pay proper attention that their son/daughter is regular to school.
  6. Attendance of a pupil on Saturdays, during the days prior to exams must be strictly enforced by parents. Parents must not encourage students to take a leave from school without any serious reason.
  7. Late comers will not be admitted in the class, unless the reason for the delay is noted in the calendar. Habitual late comers will be noted in the calendar and strict disciplinary action will be taken against such students.
  8. Attendance of the pupils on the opening day of the school in both the terms is compulsory. If for any reason a pupil is unable to attend the school on the re-opening day, intimation should be given well in advance.
  9. Pupils who have been absent from school for more than a month without notice are struck off the rolls and will not be readmitted.
  10. A pupil who does not attend school for more than three days from the opening day of the school without notice renders him/her liable to be struck off the rolls.
MESSAGE TO PARENTS

IN ORDER TO SECURE ALL THAT IS BEST IN EDUCATION OF YOUR CHILDREN

  1. Parents are expected to cooperate with the school authorities by enforcing regularity and discipline by seeing that the child prepares his lessons by taking an active interest in the activities of the school and by making him follow the rules of discipline at home too.
  2. Parents should regularly check, sign and countersign the remarks sent to them through the calendar by the concerned teacher or principal.
  3. Parents / guardians when sent for by the teacher or principal must come and meet them as per the said timings.
  4. Parents of the weak students must meet the class teacher of their child on all the Saturdays after school or as per the timings given by the class teacher.
  5. If a child is suffering from any physical/health problem, is emotionally weak, then the parents should inform the class teacher about the same at the beginning of the year with the written application.
  6. Parents /guardians should not enter the classroom or talk to teachers in between classes or disturb her. Complaints if any, should be made directly to the principal in writing. The teachers will not entertain anyone during the class hours without written permission from the principal.
  7. A pupil cannot be admitted to class on account of infringement of a school rule or npn-payment of fees, any other dues, will be sent home at the parent’s risk.
  8. If a pupil is suffering from an infectious disease, parents should send a written leave note along with a Doctor’s duly signed certificate and should not send the child to school till the danger of infection has ceased.
  9. Withdrawal of a pupil from a class for more social functions is not recommended. However, if need be, they should fill the EXIT PERMISSION column in the calendar with due signature and take permission from the principal in the 1st period only. Any other written note or oral permission will not be accepted.
  10. Criticism of the child’s teacher or school in their presence should be avoided because it causes them to lose their respect for their teachers and consequent failure to learn from those teachers. If there are any grievances or complaints they should be directly addressed to the principal in written only.
  11. Parents should send their ward regularly and in time, to the school premises. Please do not encourage absenteeism before examinations.
  12. If a child is absent for any examination, the average marks will be worked out on the basis of division by three.
  13. With proper coordination between parents, teachers, students and the principal of the school, the experience of a child should have sweet memories.

NOTE TO PARENTS

IT WOULD HELP THE PARENTS GREATLY IF THEY MAKE SURE THAT:

  1. Children come to school regularly and punctually and are dressed neatly in regular uniform.
  2. Their children bring the required text and exercise books to school which should be properly maintained.
  3. Their children should do their homework regularly.
  4. Ensure that the fees are paid on time.
  5. Their child’s progress reports are signed.
  6. They meet the teachers and principal only during the specified time and on the specified days. They clearly state the purpose for which they come to school and once the purpose is served, they go out.
  7. They see notes written by the teachers in the school in the school calendar.
  8. They acknowledge all the circulars.
  9. They write down their own remarks in the school calendar for the information of the teacher.
  10. They submit all leave notes on time and clearly mention their child’s name, class and division in the leave notes. Notes written on scraps of paper will not be accepted.
  11. They glance through books, note books and answer-scripts of their children.
  12. They do not see their children during class hours.
  13. They stop their children from bringing expensive articles to school.
  14. They understand and appreciate the need for correction and occasional punishment which the principal may meet out to their child.
  15. Two tear-off forms for the purpose of railway travel concession for the students are provided at the end of the calendar.
  16. They submit applications for verification of date of birth etc. and other form for signature, ten days in advance.
  17. They do not send their child to school when he/she is suffering from an infectious disease.
  18. They address all letters to the headmistress.
  19. They do not call or disturb the principal, headmistress, teachers, and office staff at their residence under any circumstances. They understand that the school business is to be transacted during school hours and in school only.
  20. Reports of children whose fees and other dues are not up to date, will not be issued.
GENERAL HINTS TO THE STUDENTS

HELPS TO LEARN MORE IN LESS TIME

  1. Do not fear studies or weak subjects.
  2. First take up the subject you dislike the most and once you have done this, the rest of your work will be easy.
  3. Do not hesitate to ask your teacher or your class companions, the things you are unable to grasp easily. Never leave doubts unanswered. Make sure that you have understood thoroughly.
  4. USE THESE TECHNIQUES:-
  1. Pretend that you are explaining the lesson to another person, see if you can do that well.
  2. Make yourself your own teacher and question yourself and answer honestly.
  1. Do not continue to work when you are tired, refresh yourself.
  2. Do not oversleep or be lazy. At the same time do not cut sleep for study. Avoid late night studies.
  3. All the homework should be done neatly and regularly.
  4. Revise at the end of the week, all that was learnt during the whole week.
  5. Do not join tuitions unnecessarily just because your friends are doing so.
  6. Lastly, pray to God to help you progress in your studies and remember “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.
EXAMINATION
  1. For secondary section, there are two semester exams. One in October and the second in April. Progress reports will be issued after examination. Parents are requested to take note of the remarks and return the same, duly signed within three days. Comprehensive evaluation pattern is followed.
  2. A delay in payment of fees shall debar a student from appearing for an examination as well as the progress report being withheld.

A pupil using unfair means like copying, seeking help from another pupil, trying to help another pupil etc. during an examination will be declared to have failed not only in that examination subject in which he/she has used unfair means, but also in all other examinations. He will not be allowed to appear in the remaining examinations, should this happen in the final examination. The pupil will have to repeat the class and if he/she is a repeater then he/she will have to leave the school.
