EVALUATION AND PROMOTION 

1.  Progress of the pupils shall be evaluated through the continuous assessment
2.  Promotion of pupils to the next class shall be based on their performance during the academic year.
3.  Parents shall be communicated about their ward’s performance through the progress report.
4.  progress report shall be shown to the parents at the end of each term.
5.  Parents shall also be communicated about their ward’s progress during parent-teacher interaction. 
6.  75% attendance is compulsory for promotion to the next class.
7.  The minimum marks for promotion will be 40% in each subject. 
8.  The decision of the school authorities in the matter of promotion shall be final.

HOME ASSIGNMENT:
All home assignments are part of the continuous assessment.
Pupils shall do all home assignments independently.

RECORD OF ACTIVITIES 2018-2019
1.  Re-opening – the new academic year always begins with a bog bash and is welcomed in a very grand way. Different activities were conducted in the classroom and cartoon characters welcomed kids. 

2.  International yoga day- international yoga day is celebrated every year on 21st june to improve the concentration of children and their flexibility group yoga conducted including surya namaskar, asanas and breathing techniques.

3.  Van mahotsav- van mahotsav was celebrated showing different videos of save earth, chipko movement, save trees and by writing slogans related to environment.

4.  Nutrition week- nutrition week was observed to make children aware of healthy food.

5.  Talk on the spot- to improve the skills of expression and speaking among the students the school has conducted talk on the spot competition for std. III TO IV.

6.  Singing – songs from geet ramayan were sung by students on 23rd july 18 on the occasion of ashadi ekadashi and in the memory of shri. G. d. Madgaonkar and shri. Sudhir padke on their birth centenary years. Students from std 3 and 4 presented few selected songs.

7.  Recall test- recall test was conducted for std 1 AND 2. Students tried to recollect different objects which were shown earlier and covered later. This was a test of memory and concentration.

8.  Abacus- to improve students logically and mentally, the abacus class was started in the primary section for classes 1 to 4.

9.  Guru-Purnima – Guru Purnima was celebrated on 27 july 2018 students of std 1 to 4 came in colourful dress. Pooja articles were offered to lord dattaguru significance of the day was told by teachers and PPT was shown.

10.  School elections – school elections were held for the post of head boy, head girl and sports captain for student’s council formation.

11. Unique talent- unique talent workshop was arranged for the students from std 1 to 4 for the overall development of the students in voice modulation, defence, acting, dancing and face profile. Two students miss sawari harihar of std 4 J and miss. Prajwal more of std 4 (V) were selected to perform in one episode of “nakalat saare ghadle” on star pravah 

12.  Book club activity – was started on the occasion of ‘lokmanya tilak punyatithi’ for std 1 to 4 to develop reading skills among the students various books were given to students class wise for monthly circulation for the whole year.

13.  Diet plan lecture- a diet session for the parents of std 1 to 4 was arranged on 25th august 2018. It was a very unique session under the guidance of a dietician mr. prashant khamkar, who guided parents regarding children’s diet and eating patterns valuable tips were given by him related to ideal breakfast, lunch and dinner.

14.  Independence day-  every year Independence Day is celebrated in a grand way. All the sections participated in different cultural programmes, where students of std 3 and 4 performed a skit on plastic ban and the entire event was hosted by the head boy and girl of primary section. Students of std 4 gave the speeches on the occasion .

15.  Raksha bandhan – sanskrit recitation competition was conducted for std 1 to 4. Students came in colourful attire to celebrate ‘shravan haldi kumkum’ PPT was shown regarding importance of shravan month.

16.  Ganesh festival- ganesh festival was celebrated for days by reciting ; atharvashirsha’. Theme chosen to the decoration was portraits of shri. G. d. Madgaonkar and shri sudhir fadke. Musical instruments.

17.  Teacher’s day- the birthday of dr. sarvapalli radhakrishna, 5th september is celebrated teacher’s day. On this day std 2 students were in the role of teachers as they taught in classes jr. kg and sr.kg and std 1 to 3. PPT of Radhakrishna was shown to all the students. 

18.  History quiz- this year we have celebrated 150th birth anniversary of mahatma gandhi a special history quiz competition for std 3 and 4 was conducted on the life of mahatma gandhi. were given 15-20 days read books based on gandhiji’s life.

19.  Listen and tell- listen and tell activity was conducted for std 1 and 2. Different sounds of animals, birds, celebrities etc. were played on audio for the students. Later they were asked to recognize the sounds and write them on the paper. This improved listening with attention and the skill to focus.

20.  Child help line – with the increase in the number of cases of child sexual abuse/ assault, it becomes a necessity that parents teach their children the concept of safe and unsafe touch. Mrs. smita patil th volunteer of child line india foundation conducted an awareness session for parents of classes 1 and 2.

21.  Vachan prerna diwas- every year 15th october is celebrated as ‘vachan prerna diwas’ in the memory of our ex-president APJ Abdul kalam ‘book fair’ was organised for all the students’ parents were allowed to visit the fair and many students purchased books which helped to inculcate in them reading skills.
On the same day saraswati puja was performed the day was celebrated as ‘no bag day’

22.  Bhondla- bhondla, a traditional dance form during navratri was performed by girls of std 2 and 4, prepared seed germination pots and arranged them for the decoration.

23.  Nav durga (parents)- a very unique activity was given to parents as they were dressed is the forms of ‘navdurga’ giving information about their ‘nine avatars’

24.  School picnic- this year our school picnic was taken to ‘paradise fun resort’ for std 1 to 4 

25.  Spellathon- spellathon competition was conducted for std 1 to 4 in the month of january, words were orally pronounced and the students had to spell them correctly.

26.  National mathematics day celebration- primary section organized a mathematics day, as a tribute to the master of mathematics ‘srinivas ramanujan’, maths projects were displayed by std 4. They were judged by jr. college lecturer for maths mr. rajinikanth sir.

27.  Art attack- art attack related to work experience was conducted for std 1 to 4 the concept was best out of waste.

28.  Laxmibai day- on the occasion of laxmibai day, school has conducted shloka competition for std 1 to 4.
–  Mahalaxmi stotra- std 3 and 4 / hanuman chalisa – std 1 and 2.
–  Hanuman chalisa- std 1 and 2.

29.  Deshsth rigvedi sanstha conducted the following competition 
Children were encouraged to take part in the inter-school competitions such as bhagavad gita chanting, ram raksha and fancy dress.(related to ramayan)

30.  Annual sports- annual sports day was held on sambhaji ground, students marched on the tune for a march past .Various sports events were conducted and and medal certificates were given to the winners.

31.  Green army day- there was a special session conducted for std 4 wherein students were made alert about environment ( nature) and the importance of 3 R , i.e reduce , reuse , recycle
Two monthly activities were given to students of class on saving electricity , water and fuel. They were told to maintain a daily record of it.

32.  Marathi rajbhasha din- marathi diwas was celebrated on 27th february in the memory of well-known marathi literary genius kavi kusumagraj, we have shown 2 videos about the cycle of nature, marathi anhimaan geet and information about shri .v. va shirvadkar alias kusumagraj.

33.  Founder’s day- founder’s day was celebrated as special week. Students were instructed to follow:
–  Monday – mobile free day
–  Tuesday- television free day
–  Wednesday- wishful day
–  Thursday- thoughtful day / thankful day
–  Friday- fast food free day
–  Saturday- sunshine day
–  Sunday- sunshine day
All the students enthusiastically observed the days with dedication and honesty.

34.  History story telling competition – on account of shivjayanti students of std 3 and 4 celebrated it by singing powadas and told the stories of shivaji maharaj

35.  National science day- 28th feb. is national science day, observed as the birthday of physicist C.V Raman who received nobel prize in 1930.
Teachers of std 1 to 4 showed various experiments to explain science in daily life.

36.  Annual gathering- annual gathering was held on the 16th jan 2019. Our school celebrated its annual bonanza synergy -2019 at kalidas auditorium. The theme was ‘kuch sunehri yaadein’. The entire school participated wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. This triumph was made possible by the relentless efforts of our principal mr. prasad kulkarni sir. The guests shri aadesh bandekar, Ms suzanne bernet ( the main character in the movie ‘ the accidental prime minister). Ms sayali sanjeev (TV actress ) were the esteemed guests of honour. A huge participation of students made the event memorable.

37.  PTA meeting – PTA meetings were also held at  regular intervals to brief the parents about the school activities.

38.  Farewell- as every year we send off to std 4, this year our school management arranged a grand farewell party for std 4. Various games, songs, refreshments made the day joyous and worth cherishing.

39.  Best house- best house of the academic year 2018-2019 was ‘sapphire’ house for securing highest score in different academics and extra curricular activities by the students.
